Formula 1 Grand Prix in Singapore , MTSG50 Pop Up Store ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ♪

surprise surprise, I finally attended a Singapore Grand Prix ! This is all thanks to elle who had free tix for this event !!

Before entering the event venue, we decided to visit Raffles City Shopping Centre for the MTSG50 pop up store as I had saw a photo on instagram where the set up was so so pretty and any aesthetic place is a must visit !

so we were like initially lost and all because the event was on the 3rd(?) level I think (btw this event has already ended)

such an aesthetic place to take photos ~ such a pity this design has been torn off after the event ended

we had initially planned on bringing in some food in to eat while we waited at the padang stage but as we arrived at the ticket check area, we found out food was prohibited. Had actually expected this but because they didn't mention no f&b on their webpage so I had just assumed it was possible to bring it in, but guess not. So we ended up standing at that area finishing our food ;; the amount of starbucks wasted and left at the entrance was no joke

Honestly, we both are like not interested at all in watching the race so we just navigated our way to the Padang Stage so we could maybe get a good spot for the after race concert which featured Maroon 5. We got in the area around 4+ and there were like a whole bunch of people already but guess what ? we made it to 2nd row and I wasn't exactly very interested in pushing and squeezing others because I am not like a big fan so yea.

Talking about the how we got our row, we actually had like a whole bunch of people surrounding us and I had initially thought we would surely get a 3rd row but someone suddenly stood up at like 7+ and people began scrambling up and running for a good spot already. So we immediately packed up our stuff and dashed in front ;; we were standing with a bunch of caucasians who are like studying in a intl school here and they were pretty nice. While standing up and waiting for the concert, it just reminded me of the smtown queueing where the hours left standing was much more than this but so much more worth.

But our view was really great ! Like super near main stage only down side was the camera man was just diagonally in front.

Had brought my Samsung NX1000 along to actually take videos but guess what .. I forgot to charge so I was left with 1 bar of battery (fml) so I wasn't planning to use it for the concert but use my phone.

But like after a few songs , I just decided I should just use it until the battery runs out. So here are the shots ! Will upload a Vlog about my week soon as I am trying to maybe do some simple vlogs about some interesting places and just regular things experienced in SG :-)

reviewed all the photos taken with my shitty phone camera and they all suck because the camera is of such horrid quality (I'm in utter disgust) Like tbh , I actually use my friends' iPhones to take photos of things I want to post on instagram and get them to send me like the burden bitch I am - enough rant

Here are the photos I took with my camera ~ which isn't really like a lot because I still can't get the shutter to move fast enough like my canon but it fares pretty well already

Was so thankful Jie got a flight back, so we managed to stay in her hotel room for the night and it was at swisshotel the stamford which is 100% convenient as hell for me because it was just right infront of us when I came out the exit and I just felt so blessed I did not need to squeeze with billions of people back on the train after experiencing that horrid crowd when exiting the area was enough

It was also cherie's birthday so min had bought a red velvet (q dumb dumb) cake from plain vanilla ! Its so pretty >_< too bad I wasn't able to celebrate with them but the cake was pretty good !!

// A requested cake photo to be taken but the lighting in the room was so yellowish and crappy //
