digital fashion week 2015 + food review : dazzling cafe ⁽(◍˃̵͈̑ᴗ˂̵͈̑)⁽

The laze is real since school has started and I have been ending real late most of the time (because of korean and dance) but yes ! I finally have the motivation to do this

Some photos from previous weeks - firstly we celebrated marilynn's birthday in advance and got her some glow in the dark underwear because her bday falls on halloween (HAHAHA)

Participated in an instagram contest (being the shameless and cheapo) and managed to score tickets for Digital Fashion Week !! Invited Megan to go along with me since we have not hanged out in forever.

We went to grab some toast at dazzling cafe since the event was held at Capitol Theatre. Queued for around half an hour ? which I think was pretty okay considering how people queued up to 2 hours when it had just opened.

We were seated upstairs and got to see how there is this lift thing for the food (I was amazed ok) Got the Classic one and I would say it is super average ;; the toast wasn't buttery enough as compared to the one i had at dessert project which was lathered with butter

Headed to collect our tickets before the show started and realised that we were in mid tier - red, black and white

So we scored the front row !! Really awkward as to how we were so underdressed and casual and we felt super out of place being at first row really.

But it was a great experience and just very aesthetically pleasing :-)

Schools Out ~̎̎٩(⌒͡∀⌒͡⌯̊)̥̊◦

As stated in the title, School's out is actually a new television programme by Channel M where Gary (yes, the running man one) visits schools around asia ! Surprisingly he actually visited my school (Singapore Polytechnic) for his Singapore stop !

I actually knew about this event when he had gone to Hong Kong and there were adverts on Channel M getting people in Singapore to write in for their own school and I actually had mini thoughts on it but thought it would be impossible to get picked because there would be so many people applying so I didn't actually bother checking out the details and all

But then came the day where the school actually sent a text for this Korea event and I was basically only attracted to attend it because they were giving free etude samples and stuff and it sounded like a pretty okay event.

Had initially gone asking a few of my classmates but most either couldn't make it that day or thought the thing was lame and didn't want to attend it as it was the holidays but thank goodness syirah and mae agreed !!! So we were like late and we thought we could not enter anymore as they said it was strictly 12.50 and we had reached at 1. But because there were still seats we were still allowed in and went in halfway during the talk by etude house about makeup

Then came the part where they had a fake media company act like they were going to have a talk and all but claimed there were technical difficulties and at that point in time I already knew they were filming something as there were those big and long cameras you only see at tv shoots.

The entire event was so well disguised but I guess half the people attending actually already knew. They then played games with those people who actually wrote in. Gary then performed a final time and every one was just crowding him to take selfies (ORZ)

Whole bunch of photos I took with my camera ! As we had planned on visiting Zulos after the event so I had brought it along to take videos to edit and all but guess it was put to good use for this event as well !

Also really cute when someone in the crowd actually mentioned Jihyo and Gary replied saying "today isn't monday"

On another note, school is starting again :-( although my grades are real average, I still feel real disappointed with myself because I realised all my B+'s were those modules with project work ;;u;; and additionally I am taking Korean two days a week this semester so gonna be real stress ;; grrrr

Food Review : Zulos Cafe (❁´▽`❁)*✲゚*

Another baes outing since we had gone to school that day ! And found out that this cafe is situated in the clementi area so it would be convenient for us since school is in dover.

The place is pretty hidden at the void deck of block 612. We took bus 189 from the bus at Clementi station (the one opposite clementi mall) and got off after two stops at NUS High. Most challenging part of going there would be the mega overhead bridge which has a crazy amount of stairs - my legs almost died.

The place is really small and cozy ! Was perspiring like crazy after walking a whole load there so I was determined to get a seat inside with air condition. So we took a seat at their higher tables, as all the other seats inside were all taken up.

Actually wanted to try their churros but I was super bloated so I just got a caramel milkshake and a salted caramel lava cake to share with syirah !

And can I say how worth it the milkshake is ?? Like look at how big of a cup it is for just $6 ! Syirah and Mae got waffles which were kinder bueno ($9.50) and cookies and cream ($8.50)

This place is also muslim owned if I am not wrong as they also had stalls set up at Hari Raya Bazaars so muslim friends can also check this place out :)

Gardens By The Bay ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

Really late on this post because I actually visited Gardens By The Bay around end July as I wanted to bring my grandparents to make full use of the SG50 promotions going on. Where Senior Citizens get to enter for free and 50% for the accompanying caregiver ! (Just found out this promo lasts till 31 Dec 2015! so do bring out the elderly in your home and let them enjoy the day !)

To be honest, I am totally not someone who actually appreciates these kind of places where you look at the scenery and just look. Not just in Singapore but I don't really like visiting these places overseas as well.

But since there are discounts, being the cheapo I am, of course I have to take up this opportunity ! At the same time, I can bring my grandparents there and let them experience it which makes me happy too :)

Standard Admission tickets come with access to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. Plus points is that there are priority queues if you are purchasing Senior Citizen tickets ! The queue was generally pretty long when we visited at around 5pm on a Saturday. As it was closing up on the National Day weekend, there were parade rehearsals going on so you could actually catch the jets and fireworks from Gardens By The Bay.

Pardon that horrible gel nail polish left on my thumb

Visited the Flower Dome first which is filled with colourful flowers ! (obviously) Honestly did not really enjoy it that much because of the huge amount of people and how almost every photo you want to take would have someone else at the background :(

Really nice place to relax though ! If maybe you visit on a weekday. The place is air conditioned so it felt really good as compared to the hot SG weather

Had the little brother take some photos instead because I was not exactly in the mood to take any

Secret shots of my grandparents while they enjoy this place 10x more than I do.

Exited the Flower Dome after we had walked a whole round and went over to the Cloud Forest. Greeted by this magnificent waterfall which makes the place feel so cooling. But had to take extra care of the gramps because the floor was very slippery and wet.

One of the few photos of myself taken for the day and this walkway actually made me slightly dizzy because it felt weird to be walking down the slope like this. Actually witnessed some people not being able to walk more than 10 m of this and went back in.

Wasn't as enjoyable compared to the Flower Dome so we had left this place quite quickly.

Got lost on how to walk to Bayfront as my dad had fetched us there because my grandpa did not know how to drive there and also unfortunately because my dad had something on so he could not fetch us back ;; super long walk to bayfront mart which sucks ;

But then found out that you can actually have picnics at the area where there is open grass ! Had initially planned a picnic for Lia's Birthday but it rained so we had a indoor picnic at MBS (biggest joke)
