Tokyo, Japan 8D7N Day Four: Gotemba Premium Outlet, Mount Fuji (Fail)

The laze is real to actually edit my photos especially when I am trying to get up all my posts before school starts so :> please bardon my none edited photos

Headed over to try and catch a view of Mount Fuji as well as visiting the premium outlet near the area. (The main idea of going there was more of the premium outlet rather than Mt Fuji. Mt Fuji was just a plus pt) And what is a trip to Tokyo without visiting Mt Fuji.

Not sure about the details for the car rental but I know that renting a car was cheaper than getting a coach ticket over to the premium outlets when we have so many people ! Both my dad and grandad took a car each to drive and they had gotten international licences before we had departed and we rented the cars at Tokyo Station. Japan drives on the same side as Singapore so it is not really a problem and the cars are installed with GPS as well so it is really quite fuss free.

Stopped by a 7-11 which was pretty near Mt Fuji where we were making the decision of whether to head up Mt Fuji or not. But since it was pretty cloudy and all we decided to go over to the outlet. Saddest part was when we passed Fuji Q. I wanted to try out the roller coaster so badly :-( sian the roller coaster looked really good !!! But not sure if it was like opened or not because I did not see a single soul in that theme park nor the rides functioning.

They actually sold some mochi at the 7-11.

Bought myself this Sweet Milk Vanilla Shaved Ice. Tastes really like bingsu actually but with bursts of vanilla ice cream in between. But really loved the taste of like shaved ice !!!

After our short break at the 7-11 we went over to the premium outlet. Sad that the view of Mt Fuji was blocked by the clouuuuds. That was supposed to be the mountain (I think ah)

Went to the information counter first to grab a map of the place because it is really huge. There is WiFi in the area but only near the information counters.

First stop at the Premium outlet turned out to be the Pokemon Store and as usual the brothers stayed inside foreverrrrrr. They took such a long time shopping and buying those trading cards and all. Dont think there was much of a promotion or anything as compared to the normal Pokemon Store.

Starving after the Pokemon store so we went for the usual Mcdonalds. #Greatjob eating Macs in Japan when there is so many other options. But guess this was the easiest choice for the fam. Actually kinda wanted to eat the shaker chicken I had the previous time I ate macs at Narita Airport when I was there for a transit and all.

Just the photo of one tray of the food we ordered. And they have the ebi burger as a regular. They have cheese and spicy flavours for the shaker chicken and I got the spicy one !!! Tastes super good.

Got myself an ice cream because I was on my ice cream streak. Slightly disappointed by Macs Ice cream after indulging in super good ice cream for the past few days.

Trash cans all come like this and you really have to seperate your stuff well before throwing them out. Really good habit they have ;;

They have disney store outlet here. But the stuff here are really limited so not much to get here. But the grandma actually bought a new handbag from there and showed it off to me

Main highlight was the Abercrombie & Fitch factory outlet store ! Was aiming to get maybe a dress or jeans. Instead got myself a pair of denim shorts. Was at least $30-40 cheaper than Singapore price. However not much were really cheap and not worth to get.

Got this MAngo ice thingy just right outside Nike. Wasn't that tasty and all but alright just to satisfy the hunger for a while. And it was pretty pricey I think. Got myself a pair of Fly Knits from Nike at around 9000 yen !

Kate Spade was having a 20% off on 1 item and 30% for 2 items. Asked the mom if I could get a new wallet and yes !!! She bought me one :-) yay. Tried to look for another item to maybe purchase and my mom had intially wanted to get a new card case but it was too bright of a colour she passed.

It was only when we were on our way out she say the Kate Spade similar to my H&M one and asked why I didnt want to buy that as well. hahaha

Dropped the bros and grandparents at the AirBnb and headed back to Tokyo Station to return the cars. After seeing how the street around the Gyu Katsu place was pretty lively and full of restaurants.

Didnt actually enter into any restaurants until we were really starving and my mom couldnt take it anymore. The reason why we didnt enter would mainly because we were scared we would be spending an exorbitant sum of money on food because they didnt exactly state the price of food.

When we actually made the decision of actually settling down, we got to know that almost none of the restaurants had space and all especially when it was a friday night and everyone was down for drinks and that street was a popular spot. Most restaurants were available if you were willing to wait for 2 hours or something.

Made the decision to just settle on korean food since there was no queue but honestly, once again.. korean food when you are in japan. And honestly I dont think the food is gonna taste fantastic especially when it is targeted at drinkers.

Mentaiko Seaweed as a starter and we were given aprons to wear as well !

The mood was kinda really like those pojangmacha in Korea. They even had the tents when you are like 100% indoor and underground.

Naengmyun tasted slightly weird imo. But okay. And worst part was the food sauce splattered to my shirt and the guy came over to use a towel to try and remove the stain but he couldnt and I was just awks af because - imagine a guy using a towel and like touching your shirt and all for like quite a while.

Food wasnt that fantastic and all but filled the belly. And it wasn't that cheap as well I must say !
