yes, finally day six and one of the posts with the least photos (finally) realised how my previous posts were too photo heavy (sorry)
of course we visited the sauna which most other travellers recommended - siloam sauna. I remember the sauna I had visited on my previous trip was more like a indoor water park with sauna so this trip really felt much more authentic.
great thing about going to a sauna where many tourist frequent would be that the ahjumma at the counter will be able to communicate pretty well with you
this one was at the back of seoul station's lotte mart, where you exit the mart from the back and go down some long flights of stairs and you will see a giant siloam sign at one of the not so far away buildings.
had initially thought that omg it is finally snowing while we were walking there but it was just dust
so in case you didn't know, you will see loads of naked people in the changing room area and if you were to head downstairs to the bath room, everyone is totally naked. at least I get to keep my underwear on as I change into the sauna clothes but if you would like a bath room hot spring experience, no clothes are provided and all you have is a pathetically small towel to try and cover your body parts
actually wanted to maybe go try out one of those ahjumma scrubs but i didn't have the guts to go naked

our first meal of the day ! ramen in a pot wuhu !!! really always wanted to try this sort of eating method. me and cherie always say we want to buy the korean gold pot to cook our ramen because it always look so much better when they eat it straight from the pot
didn't eat the boiled eggs but cherie and min said it tasted funny
look at our typical sauna lamb heads which only tourist do HAHAHA and my giant bruise T_T btw this sauna has free wifi for every level.
visited the lotte departmental store at seoul station which was decorated with kim soohyun and soshi
there were some protest going on at seoul station and the way they chanted was really catchy
headed to nam dae mun where we finally had some street food !! the egg bread is so good ;; it is like sweet ?? would have loved it more if the yolk was runny
namdaemun features more traditional items and a lot of wholesale markets where suppliers get their things from ! didn't really get much but min spent a lot at this beauty shop which sold many different brands for jie who wanted the whole face shop chia seed line and because of that we had to go back to put our stuff down before heading out
while heading back to the train station, we came across this underground mall where min decided to do her spectacles which were super affordable for korean designs/ while me and cherie went around looking at other stalls and bought super stupid stuff like exo tarot cards which I can't even figure out because the instructions and readings are all in japanese ??? like wtf if it were korean I can still figure it out but japanese ???????? when the thing is selling in korea and it is a korean idol
arrived in myeongdong finally !! only visiting this shopping heaven so late into my trip ;u;
greeted by D&E the beat goes on adverts and mines advert just by the main exit to the shopping street ! too many people for my guts to shamelessly take photos
decided we would finally search for some korean bbq because we haven't had a single bite of some real korean meat - so after some simple searching on the web, we decided to head to the bbq shop opened by kang hooding called baekjeong.
honestly while walking along the streets of myeongdong, there were many other bbq shop salespeople trying to persuade to visit their store but like we ignored all those as they seem to be slightly shady
Felt this meal was pretty pricey to be honest, and you had to purchase soup in order to get rice which was such a rip off because the menu was super expensive as compared to the other foods we had.
Loved the gigantic salt crystals though ;; but this meal had caused min to feel sick which was pretty bad. She started feeling nauseous and puked which caused me and cherie to feel slightly nauseous as well. (had a trauma of k bbq for a while)
immediately after our meal and min went to the toilet, me and cherie went to search for jaejoong's cafe ;; as I was really afraid it would be closing soon
came across this which is called ppopgi (뽑기) which i had immediately bought as I had seen this one in EXO's showtime where those idiots had gone for a seoul tour and they were all munching on this and made it as well
THIS IS SUPER GOOD
okay, it is actually just baking soda and sugar but it is so damn addictive ;> bought this one for 1000 won but came across another vendor the next day selling the broken ones for 3 for 1000 which I immediately bought 6;
ordered a simple latte but it was super bitter and scalding hot so we left the cafe after a while so my drink could chill in the cold air at the same time keep my hands warm
visited spao but where SJ and F(X) endorsed, can you feel my pain of how EXO is the next endorser on the day I was leaving ???? the shops were like all decked out in exo endorsing spao clothes and there were exo events like buy specific amount and get free EXO merchandise ;u; which we totally could have gotten if we stayed longer
spend huge amounts of money here ;u; sigh kind of regret spending the money at such a tourist infested area
basically speaking, you can get like 1 exo fan with 10000 won spent but they didn't really go by that because there were many customers waiting ugh
but they gave the exo soap for free if you spend more than 100000 i think/
bought so much useless things there which I regret because I would have rather spent it at a neighbourhood store
hate how the myeongdong sales girls are always pestering you and so so pressurizing totally not enjoyable at all.
min actually sat at the staircase leading to music korea while she puked into this small cup gross.
advise is not to buy your albums here as prices are slightly more marked up ! do purchase at the underground myeongdong stores instead which sell exactly at factory price ! The stores are located at the underground shopping area to the main shopping street. There are a few of them but prices are generally the same :) and sometimes even cheaper than if you buy them straight from SM
