Gardens By The Bay ヾ(*´∀`*)ノ

Really late on this post because I actually visited Gardens By The Bay around end July as I wanted to bring my grandparents to make full use of the SG50 promotions going on. Where Senior Citizens get to enter for free and 50% for the accompanying caregiver ! (Just found out this promo lasts till 31 Dec 2015! so do bring out the elderly in your home and let them enjoy the day !)

To be honest, I am totally not someone who actually appreciates these kind of places where you look at the scenery and just look. Not just in Singapore but I don't really like visiting these places overseas as well.

But since there are discounts, being the cheapo I am, of course I have to take up this opportunity ! At the same time, I can bring my grandparents there and let them experience it which makes me happy too :)

Standard Admission tickets come with access to the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. Plus points is that there are priority queues if you are purchasing Senior Citizen tickets ! The queue was generally pretty long when we visited at around 5pm on a Saturday. As it was closing up on the National Day weekend, there were parade rehearsals going on so you could actually catch the jets and fireworks from Gardens By The Bay.

Pardon that horrible gel nail polish left on my thumb

Visited the Flower Dome first which is filled with colourful flowers ! (obviously) Honestly did not really enjoy it that much because of the huge amount of people and how almost every photo you want to take would have someone else at the background :(

Really nice place to relax though ! If maybe you visit on a weekday. The place is air conditioned so it felt really good as compared to the hot SG weather

Had the little brother take some photos instead because I was not exactly in the mood to take any

Secret shots of my grandparents while they enjoy this place 10x more than I do.

Exited the Flower Dome after we had walked a whole round and went over to the Cloud Forest. Greeted by this magnificent waterfall which makes the place feel so cooling. But had to take extra care of the gramps because the floor was very slippery and wet.

One of the few photos of myself taken for the day and this walkway actually made me slightly dizzy because it felt weird to be walking down the slope like this. Actually witnessed some people not being able to walk more than 10 m of this and went back in.

Wasn't as enjoyable compared to the Flower Dome so we had left this place quite quickly.

Got lost on how to walk to Bayfront as my dad had fetched us there because my grandpa did not know how to drive there and also unfortunately because my dad had something on so he could not fetch us back ;; super long walk to bayfront mart which sucks ;

But then found out that you can actually have picnics at the area where there is open grass ! Had initially planned a picnic for Lia's Birthday but it rained so we had a indoor picnic at MBS (biggest joke)

Food Review : Tanuki Raw ٩(◕ั ∀◕ั๑٩)

Visited Tanuki Raw for the second time on Tuesday after visiting Universal Studios with Cherie and we decided to get lunch here because we had always wanted to visit this place together but never got the chance to.

First time I visited was with Jie and Han and I had the same thing ! Their famed Truffle Yakiniku Don. Priced at $14.80++ I feel it is priced pretty reasonable !

To be honest, I don't really like how the beef tastes but I love how the rice is moist and salty enough. The first time I had this, I felt it was slightly too salty but when I had it the second time, it was just right. You can surely smell the truffle but the taste was not really there. But overall it is still a really good dish when you mix it like bibimbap

Their Lunch menu with Lunch prices are only available 11.30pm - 3pm !

PLAYNOMORE X Laneige BB Cushion (Pore Control) ⁽(◍˃̵͈̑ᴗ˂̵͈̑)⁽

This is my first ever beauty product review (which I am actually pretty hesitant to have it posted because I am not super pro at doing makeup or reviewing it but I just wanted to share about my new baby)

I only started getting into makeup products early this year after the Korea trip as I had splurged on random makeup products at Nature Republic to get more EXO freebies (but Myeongdong's outlet did not give that much freebies which 100% sucks) and because I did not want to like let it go to waste, I experimented with it when school had started. The only few products I had were like just a simple BB cream, blusher, tinted lip balm and eyeliner (which I still do not know how to use) all from Nature Republic (effects of using exo as endorser)

I then ventured out to use more in trend items like bb cushions. My first bb cushion is actually the Innisfree Long Wear Cushion which I have mixed feelings about. I then happened to visit this Laneige pop up event at ION and managed to get a few bb cushion samples which were super adorable omg the air puff is so tiny and cute. And I fell in love with it. Furthermore, at the event had the Laneige staff match my bb cushion shade so I know my shade would not be too bright or dark and I already had a plan to buy the Laneige bb cushion once I finish up my Innisfree one.

But, when I found out PLAYNOMORE is collaborating with Laneige for some of their products, I made it a point that I MUST PURCHASE IT. Like come on, look at how cute it is ;;

The bb cushion comes in Whitening and Pore Control. The one I got is the Pore Control one because my skin is oily as hell also because of how bloody hot and humid Singapore weather is all year round.

Currently the PLAYNOMORE X Laneige version only comes in 2 shades #13 and #21 so it does not really suit those with darker tanned skin. Although you can surely just switch out the bb cushion with the one of your shade and still be able to use this adorable case.

I got it in the shade #21 Natural Beige which I feel is slightly light for my skin but that is the korea trend now I guess.

Every BB cushion from Laneige comes with a refill pack ! Even the box is so pretty;; And in the texture like PLAYNOMORE bags. talk about detail

The manufacturing date is printed at the back and can be used within 12 months after opening and 30 months if not opened which means my refill can wait for at least another 2 years in case I do not finish the current one up (which is impossible)

Even the mirror comes with the PLAYNOMORE signature eye sticker on ! My money was spent well.

Close up on the bb Cushion which I find so pleasant to look at .

Like all bb cushions, it comes with the blue colour air puff which works so well

It costs the same as their normal bb cushions so I honestly think it is worth the buy for this limited edition case !

Also I love how this bb cushion is not very cakey which sometimes my Innisfree one gets ! It also controls oil well and my T zone does not look super oily anymore. Which is a plus !

Retails at 37000 won and S$59 which shows how much cheaper it is if you purchase it in Korea T_T regret not buying more products in Korea

Formula 1 Grand Prix in Singapore , MTSG50 Pop Up Store ヾ(〃^∇^)ノ♪

surprise surprise, I finally attended a Singapore Grand Prix ! This is all thanks to elle who had free tix for this event !!

Before entering the event venue, we decided to visit Raffles City Shopping Centre for the MTSG50 pop up store as I had saw a photo on instagram where the set up was so so pretty and any aesthetic place is a must visit !

so we were like initially lost and all because the event was on the 3rd(?) level I think (btw this event has already ended)

such an aesthetic place to take photos ~ such a pity this design has been torn off after the event ended

we had initially planned on bringing in some food in to eat while we waited at the padang stage but as we arrived at the ticket check area, we found out food was prohibited. Had actually expected this but because they didn't mention no f&b on their webpage so I had just assumed it was possible to bring it in, but guess not. So we ended up standing at that area finishing our food ;; the amount of starbucks wasted and left at the entrance was no joke

Honestly, we both are like not interested at all in watching the race so we just navigated our way to the Padang Stage so we could maybe get a good spot for the after race concert which featured Maroon 5. We got in the area around 4+ and there were like a whole bunch of people already but guess what ? we made it to 2nd row and I wasn't exactly very interested in pushing and squeezing others because I am not like a big fan so yea.

Talking about the how we got our row, we actually had like a whole bunch of people surrounding us and I had initially thought we would surely get a 3rd row but someone suddenly stood up at like 7+ and people began scrambling up and running for a good spot already. So we immediately packed up our stuff and dashed in front ;; we were standing with a bunch of caucasians who are like studying in a intl school here and they were pretty nice. While standing up and waiting for the concert, it just reminded me of the smtown queueing where the hours left standing was much more than this but so much more worth.

But our view was really great ! Like super near main stage only down side was the camera man was just diagonally in front.

Had brought my Samsung NX1000 along to actually take videos but guess what .. I forgot to charge so I was left with 1 bar of battery (fml) so I wasn't planning to use it for the concert but use my phone.

But like after a few songs , I just decided I should just use it until the battery runs out. So here are the shots ! Will upload a Vlog about my week soon as I am trying to maybe do some simple vlogs about some interesting places and just regular things experienced in SG :-)

reviewed all the photos taken with my shitty phone camera and they all suck because the camera is of such horrid quality (I'm in utter disgust) Like tbh , I actually use my friends' iPhones to take photos of things I want to post on instagram and get them to send me like the burden bitch I am - enough rant

Here are the photos I took with my camera ~ which isn't really like a lot because I still can't get the shutter to move fast enough like my canon but it fares pretty well already

Was so thankful Jie got a flight back, so we managed to stay in her hotel room for the night and it was at swisshotel the stamford which is 100% convenient as hell for me because it was just right infront of us when I came out the exit and I just felt so blessed I did not need to squeeze with billions of people back on the train after experiencing that horrid crowd when exiting the area was enough

It was also cherie's birthday so min had bought a red velvet (q dumb dumb) cake from plain vanilla ! Its so pretty >_< too bad I wasn't able to celebrate with them but the cake was pretty good !!

// A requested cake photo to be taken but the lighting in the room was so yellowish and crappy //

TuesBaes | I AM Cafe , Fluff Bakery (ノ*゜▽゜*)

Finally updating this blog with more current events which have happened ;;

Me, syirah and mae have always said we would go on a tuesbaes date every tuesday after school (Because our tuesday lessons end the earliest) to some cool place to eat but never ever happened until last tuesday !

Decided to visit I AM cafe which is situated at the front of Haji Lane which is impossible to miss ! Main reasons this place was chosen was because of the Halal factor thrown in because of syirah. The place wasn't very packed as we visited at a almost late afternoon time but was still filled with people especially tourists !

Me and syirah shared a plate of fish and chips while Mae had some veggie pasta. Because I had just got my braces wire changed, my teeth were aching like shit :(

The fish was really soft so it was no big deal but the chips were a trouble to eat. I think this place is actually pretty average and not worth much hype so I don't really get the super long queues on weekends

AND yes !!! I have finally visited Fluff Bakery ! Had always wanted to visit because the cupcakes look so pretty on instagram and they have some pretty local flavours like Kaya Pandan Cheese and Bandung. Sadly on the day we visited the local flavour was Ondeh Ondeh which I am not a fan of. So I went with the typical Salted Caramel.

I felt the cupcakes were slightly too moist as I prefer my cakes to be more airy instead but the salted caramel core was really yummy !! As we had not eaten the cupcakes on the spot, my salted caramel had toppled over by the time we opened them up to eat and when I took it out of the box, the cupcake was totally detached from the frosting (sad life).

Really hope I can be able to try the other flavours next time without a toppled frosting !!
